★     biography.

The tunnels of white cloth that envelop the form of this creature have fated her as a bride from the very beginning. Her undeniable sole purpose, the reason for reanimation: to be a companion to one lonely being. From the moment of reanimation, the simulacrum was frightened of the world around her. Everything, especially her "companion," was overwhelming and a metaphorical shock to the system. She hissed and screamed, scrambling to get as far as possible from those around her in some desperate attempt at safety. Within the coming days, she would somewhat settle into this new form of life. Her fear towards those around her lessened, though trust was far from present. Her time is spent safely locked within one room, viewed as too “delicate” by her maker to venture any further. Alone in the quiet and still darkness, left to relearn motor skills and discover her only insight into the outside world: a large window.Hours upon hours were spent staring out of it, watching as leaves shook with the breeze or flowers began to bloom. It was life, freedom, just beyond panes of glass. Curiosity towards the outside world grew with each passing moment. Her wistful gaze was only pulled away each time her so-called "companion" came to visit. Hesitation was ever present, a sense of fear still lingering. His attempts at communication, to connect with her expectedly fall flat. She didn't understand, at least not yet. As days turned into weeks, her development regarding speech and reading comprehension were progressing exceptionally. Each day her companion came to read to her, aiding in her attempt to understand the world. Her feelings, although still muddled, were far less fearful regarding the other creature. Despite mixed feelings towards this creature, one fact remained true: there was no one else like them in this world. They had come to an understanding of sorts. She had begun to read what books were provided, consuming chapters on her own as the days went by. Beginning to comprehend German and English, the creature could now understand the situation she was trapped in. Freedom seemed out of reach, an idea that taunted her just beyond the window. She began to question her purpose, if all she was fated to be was his bride. What a dreadful existence. She looked for somewhere to put all the resentment, for someone to blame. Her creator; she wouldn't be doomed to such a fate without him. Hostility towards the man seemed to grow with each passing day. Her curt response and subtle defiance in rare moments of conversation made feeling evident. All things considered, it seemed as if the feeling was mutual. Creator and created, a dynamic of distrust and distaste. The creature began searching for little forms of freedom, a sense of agency. What could she have that was truly her own? The idea arose one night: a name. Weeks were spent scouring the books within her room, finding something that seemed to fit perfectly. After thousands of words, it came forth; Evelyn. She emerges from her chambers, book in hand to present her findings to her companion. The name is repeated, over and over again. Evelyn, Evelyn, Evelyn. She was no longer some nameless creature, trapped in some life she never wanted. She was a person, a being who was free to make her own choices and to learn about the world. As the day drew to a close, her intentions for the future became clearer and clearer. The world just beyond the window would, she would experience it.She was no longer some nameless creature, trapped in some life she never wanted. She was a person, a being who was free to make her own choices and to learn about the world. As the day drew to a close, her intentions for the future became clearer and clearer. The world just beyond the window would, she would experience it. It's a wonder how two looming creatures can seem to slink off unseen into the early morning, just before the sunrise graced the changing sky. Fresh, chill air against stitch covered skin feels electrifying. Sitting together, watching the sun's bright colors paint the morning sky, Evelyn had never felt more alive. Never would she be confined to one room again. This existence didn't have to be as terrible as it had once been.

★   VERSE 001, MAIN.       this verse follows the timeline of her biography as entirely and remains untagged. it can range from the moment of creation all the way up to modern times. within this timeline she is not a university professor, but has acquired a doctorate after pursuing schooling to further her education.★   VERSE 002, salemites.       Following her first experience with freedom, Evelyn decided she wanted to be something more than just the Creature's companion. She was never going to be just "his wife" again. She began studying different concepts and ideas taught in schools in her own time. As a form of agency, she cuts her hair down from the iconic beehive she was created with and begins her attempts to enroll within collegiate classes. Her studies are cut short as human beings begin hunting herself and her companion. Ingolstadt was no longer safe, that much was clear. The only option became exceptionally clear: they had to flee. The pair ended up within the United States, settling in the midsized town of Salem, Oregon. Heavy stage makeup and carefully chosen articles of clothing help Evelyn to blend in with human beings. She continues her studies, now under the name of Evelyn Stein, enrolling within a university within Oregon. After several years of dedication, she acquires her degrees in teaching and biology. Evelyn would begin teaching at a different university, learning more and more about human life with each student she interacted with. As years passed, the longing for something more returned within a force. What could bring forth a sense of happiness? What more could complete her life? The answer quickly became clear: a child of her own.Months of preparation, gathering resources and parts, drew to a close. Come late June, she and her companion would piece the teenager together. They were an amalgamation of the best monster and humans she could find. This new life was going to be as perfect as possible, immensely intelligent and strong. They were going to be safe and loved, never hurt or harassed. The name was chosen with ease: Franziska Katharina Stein. Their child, as perfect as one being could be. From the very beginning Evelyn feared for their safety within this world. Human beings didn't understand creatures like them. She knew what would have to happen in order to keep Franziska safe. As the child developed and began to understand the world around them, homeschooling would soon occur. Working in tandem with her companion, Evelyn would educate Franziska, who now went by Frankie, until university classes began again in the fall. When the dreaded day finally came, she was quick to give her child the same stage makeup she had spent years using. Frankie was set to live in hiding, just as Evelyn had to do. Freedom was given, but limited to something she could control. After all, how else was she supposed to keep such new life safe?
